Keni Harrison Will Face Brianna McNeal at Shanghai Diamond League MeetingBy Adam Kopet Keni Harrison highlights the 100-meter hurdles at the Shanghai Diamond League meeting May 12, according to an event release. Harrison set the world record, running 12.20 in 2016, after failing to make the U.S. Olympic team. Harrison is coming off her first global gold medal. She won the 60-meter hurdles March 3 at the IAAF World Indoor Championships. Also in the race is Brianna McNeal (formerly Rollins). McNeal missed all of 2017 and her last outdoor hurdle race was the 2016 Olympic final where she won the gold medal. So far this season, McNeal has only competed in flat events, ranging from 100 to 300 meters, but she is entered Friday in the 100 hurdles prelims at the 43rd Stanford Invitational. More news |
